It all starts with the dough – made fresh here daily. We stretch it out and hand toss it and then it's on to the building station. We add our homemade red sauce along with fresh toppings like green peppers, mushrooms, onions, basil that we get from Detroit's Eastern Market – and into the oven.
We're more than just pizza, though. What makes us unique is our commitment to quality and freshness. That's how it was done back in the day, and that's exactly what's wrong with most of today's restaurants... They've changed their ways. Chef Mario had the unique privilege to study in Rome before opening Pizza Nostalgia, and one of the most important things he brought back was to stay true to your roots.
Pizza Nostalgia is much more than just pizza. In addition to that, there are homemade pasta dishes, sandwiches crafted to order with wood-fired bread, delicious soups made daily and we've been told that our fresh-filled cannoli is an absolute must-have. At Pizza Nostalgia, you can experience the advantage of having our intimate dining room as your gathering place, suitable for any event. We also reserve Sundays for our larger events, when our restaurant remains closed to the general public. Whether your event is large or small, casual or formal, business or just for fun, having your event at Pizza Nostalgia is the only way to create the perfect atmosphere for you and your guests. We can accommodate 15 - 70 guests.
